BEDIGIT – Building European Digital Inclusion and Trust: Newsletter 1
EN Co-funded by the EU_POS

Empowering Digital Inclusion, Sustainability, and Trust Across Europe
The Building European Digital Inclusion and Trust (BEDIGIT) project is an ambitious initiative
co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The project is a Small-scale
Partnership in Vocational Education and Training, focusing on advancing digital accessibility,
sustainability, and trust in online democratic participation.
Why BEDIGIT? Addressing the Digital Divide
Digital transformation is reshaping how individuals access services, education, and civic
participation. However, many Europeans still face significant barriers to digital inclusion,
including lack of accessibility, limited digital skills, and concerns about online trust and security.
The BEDIGIT project seeks to bridge these gaps by ensuring that digital technologies are inclusive,
sustainable, and trusted by all.
Project Objectives
BEDIGIT aims to:
• Promote Digital Inclusion & Diversity: Address disparities in digital access, ensuring
equitable participation across different socio-economic and cultural groups.
• Enhance Digital Literacy & Accessibility: Equip individuals with the skills needed to
navigate and engage safely in digital spaces.
• Foster Green & Sustainable Digital Practices: Encourage the adoption of
environmentally responsible digital behaviors.
• Strengthen Trust in Digital Democratic Processes: Improve cybersecurity awareness
and transparency in online governance.
How Will We Achieve This?
The project will conduct comprehensive research, including surveys and focus groups, to assess
digital accessibility, sustainability, and trust. Based on these findings, BEDIGIT will develop
training programs, policy recommendations, and awareness campaigns tailored to address the
key challenges identified.
Who is Involved?
BEDIGIT is led by a strong international consortium:
• Foundation of the University of Burgos (Spain) – Project Coordinator
• ISACA Europe (Ireland) – Partner
• Vernian RTI (Cyprus) – Partner
What’s Next?
BEDIGIT will engage with stakeholders, educators, policymakers, and digital users to ensure a
broad and meaningful impact. Stay tuned for upcoming research findings, training sessions, and
policy recommendations designed to shape a more inclusive and sustainable digital future.
